She moved to the USA in 2010 and to Tacoma in 2018, where she lives with her husband and three children.
She is invested in the Islamic education and identity building of Muslim children and youth, and feels a weekend school not only provides that opportunity but a safe space for the next generation to develop lasting relationship with the mosque and build camaraderie with their community members. She enjoys to read, travel, make new friends and is dedicated to empowering people.
