Bio
Saadia Wahid
Founder and Director Hailing from Pakistan, Saadia is a dentist by training and currently completing a Master's in Health care Business Administration from Oregon Health and Science University School of Medicine. She moved to the USA in 2010 and to Tacoma in 2018, where she lives with her husband and three children.
She is invested in the Islamic education and identity building of Muslim children and youth, and feels a weekend school not only provides that opportunity but a safe space for the next generation to develop lasting relationship with the mosque and build camaraderie with their community members. She enjoys to read, travel, make new friends and is dedicated to empowering people.
Bayan Farrah
Kindergarten and Arabic Language instructor, Bayan was born and raised in Jerusalem, Palestine and moved to Tacoma with her family when she was 13. She lives in Tacoma with her parents, an older brother, and a younger sister. She is a senior at Silas High School and also a (Sophomore) Running Start Student at TCC. She is the President of the Palestine Solidarity Club and the Vice President of the Tennis Club at TCC. She has completed one year of Sharia at Zad Academy in Egypt.

Alaa Alshaibani
Fourth Grade teacher Alaa was born and raised in Tacoma where she lives with her parents, brother and two cats, Eugene and Barry. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Pacific Lutheran University in 2017, and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Washington in 2021. She works for the State Department.
