Youth Program

The Islamic Center of Tacoma offers a comprehensive youth program specifically designed for youth between the ages of 13 and 19. During this crucial time in their lives, the youth program provides a safe and supportive environment for teenagers to explore and learn about their faith, connect with other young Muslims, and engage in community service. The program is led by qualified instructors and volunteers who have a deep understanding of the needs and
challenges of teenagers. They provide guidance and support to help youth navigate the complexities of adolescence while staying true to their Islamic values and beliefs.

By participating in the youth program, teenagers can develop a strong sense of identity and purpose, as well as cultivate important life skills such as leadership, teamwork, and communication. These skills can help them succeed in all areas of their lives, both now and in
the future.

Some of the key components of the youth program include:
Islamic education: The Islamic Center of Tacoma offers a range of classes and programs to help youth learn about Islam and develop their understanding of the faith. This includes Quranic studies, Islamic history, and classes on Islamic ethics and values.

Social activities: The youth program also includes a variety of social activities, such as movie nights, sports events, game nights, quizzes and other fun outings. These events are designed to help youth connect with one another and build strong friendships within the Muslim community.

Community service: The Islamic Center of Tacoma places a strong emphasis on community service, and the youth program is no exception. Youth are encouraged to volunteer their time and skills to help those in need within the local community.

This may include food drives, homeless outreach programs, or other service initiatives.
The intention of the program is to cultivate strong leaders within the Muslim community and
make a positive impact on the world around them.
